Cat Creek is a hard out-and-back hike in the Fortine Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 6.5 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 2,575 feet. The route rises from a low point of about 3,680 feet to a high of 6,652 feet, and the Forest Service manages the land. The trail is open from June 1 to October 31, and the Cat Creek Trailhead (TH 333) is the parking spot. The trail surface is natural, and both horses and bikes are allowed. Williams Creek is about 1.2 miles away, and Grave Creek Campground is roughly 5 miles off. Big Therriault Lake Campground and Little Therriault Lake are both a little over 5 miles from the trailhead.
