Gold Rush Campground, also known as Gold Rush Campground/Trhd, is a Forest Service site in the Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana. It sits in a narrow canyon bottom along a stream, with forest cover and shade, and a hiking trail is available nearby. No fees are required to use the site, and the amenities include vault toilets. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from June through September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 84°F with lows near 43°F, and September highs around 72°F. Gold Rush Creek is just 0.1 mile away, and Knox Creek and West Fork Knox Creek are both within about 2 miles. Paddlers can head to Dry Creek, about 3.7 miles off.
