Summit Boulder is a bouldering area in Massachusetts, about a mile from North Saugus. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Roof Boulder and Satellite Boulders each about 0.1 mile away and Bobcat Den Boulder (AKA Suspended Boulder) at the same distance. The Nature Valley Area is about 0.2 mile off, so the whole area makes an easy grouping for a day of bouldering. The climbing here is all bouldering, with seven routes on the V scale ranging from V0 to V3+. The easiest are Crack Attack and Happy Times at V0, and the hardest is Moose Drunk at V3+. Smiley Face is a V1, and Moose Tracks is a V3. The routes are short and fit the bouldering style, so plan on a session of individual problems rather than a long climb. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Middleton run to highs around 81°F in July, with September still near 73°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 35°F. Mountain bikers can find the Deep Woods Trail East and West about 0.3 mile away, and Shark's Tooth East is about 0.4 mile off.
