Second Boulder is a bouldering area in Massachusetts, about half a mile from South Peabody. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lookout Rock just 0.1 mile away and Spring Pond Woods 0.2 mile off. The area is close to several other bouldering and mountain biking routes, making it an easy base for a day of climbing or riding. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the V2-3 to V6- range. Whispering Meadows is a V4- boulder, and Project and The Power of Believing are V5 and V6- boulders. Pete Otis is listed as the first ascender of Whispering Meadows, Reinventing the Wheel and The Power of Believing. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Marblehead weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 61°F, while winter highs stay in the 30s and 40s. Thunder Cat Wall is about a mile away, and B Pond Cliff is about 1.2 miles off. Mountain bikers can head to Overlook Trail, roughly 2.3 miles away, or Deep Woods Trail East, about 2.5 miles away.
