Ledge Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Acadia National Park in Maine, managed by the National Park Service. The trail is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of about 440 feet, and it reaches a high point of 642 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.16 miles from the start, where the grade reaches 23 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 60°F, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 30s. The trail sits close to several other spots. Canada Cliff Boulder and Canada Cliff Rock are climbing areas about 0.2 miles away, and the Canada Cliffs Trail and Beech Cliff Trail are both about half a mile off.
