Foxtown Boulders is a bouldering area in Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest, within the London Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the single boulder route here, Meat grinder, is rated V1 on the V scale. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Berea College show October highs around 70°F with lows near 49°F, and April is similar at about 70°F by day and 48°F at night. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run a little cooler. The closest neighbor is the Sheltowee Trace, a hike about 1.3 miles away. Within a few miles you'll also find the Racoon Creek Road mountain biking route, S-Tree Campground, and the Middle Fork Rockcastle River for paddling.
