Sheltowee Trace is a 4-mile out-and-back mountain biking route in the London Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts at an elevation of about 1,100 feet and climbs to roughly 1,420 feet, for a total gain of about 300 feet, and is rated moderate. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Berea College weather station show October highs around 70°F with lows near 49°F, and April is similar at about 70°F by day and 48°F at night. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the climb run slightly cooler. Foxtown Boulders, a climbing area, is about 1.3 miles away.
