Board Wall is a climbing area in Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest, within the Cumberland Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits among several other climbing spots, with Indian Creek just 0.2 miles away and Lumpy Wall and Purple Valley within half a mile. The climbing here is all trad, with seven routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.10b. The easiest are Domestic Violence and Krishnamurti Stomp, both 5.8, and the hardest are Party Line, Trigger and Woodstock, all 5.10b. The routes were first climbed between 1988 and 1992. For timing, September is the most comfortable month, with typical highs around 79°F and lows near 56°F, and it has the fewest wet days of the year. Those are typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stanton, which sits about 320 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler. Nearby, Indian Creek Camping Area is about 3 miles away, and the Tarr Ridge East Trail is about 3 miles off. Paddlers can reach the Middle Fork Red River, roughly 8 miles away.
