Slabtastic is a bouldering cluster in Idaho, about 3 miles from the town of Newdale. The Bureau of Reclamation manages the land, and the area sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, including Big Dam Boulder and Aromatherapy Boulder, each about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the cluster. Grades run from V1 to V7, with the Slabtastic face at V2-3 and Savoir Faire at V7. Caveman and The Edge of Left sit at V4 and V5. The routes are named for their style and grade, and the cluster works well as a short outing for climbers looking to try a range of problems in one visit. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Saint Anthony show July and August highs around 83°F with lows near 50°F and only about four wet days a month. Winter is cold, with January highs near 28°F. Other bouldering is close by. Teton Dam (Lower Teton River Canyon) is about half a mile away, and Lilly's Boulder and The Quarry are within a mile.
