Teton Dam, also known as the Lower Teton River Canyon climbing area, sits in Idaho, about 3.5 miles from the town of Newdale. The land is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation, and the surrounding area is a cluster of bouldering spots that sit right next to one another. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 15 routes in total and grades ranging from V1-2 up to V9-. Most of the routes fall in the V3- range. Jennifer Aniston is the easiest, at V1-2, and San Callisto is the hardest, at V9-. Summer is the warmest and driest stretch for a visit. Typical averages from the nearby Saint Anthony weather station show July and August highs around 83°F with lows near 50°F, and only about four wet days a month. Winter there is cold, with January highs in the upper 20s and lows around 12°F. The closest boulders are Lilly's Boulder, just 0.1 mile away, and The Quarry and Power Box Boulders, both about 0.2 mile off. Walrus is about 0.4 mile away.
