Rocky Wall is a sport climbing area in Idaho's Q'Emiln Park, which is city land. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Death Fall Wall and Alpha Wall each about 0.2 miles away and Lower Ledge Area about the same. That makes it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding rock. The climbing here is sport-only, and the routes run from about 5.9 up to 5.11c. Among them are Fearless Leader and Garden Weeder, both at 5.11c, and Duddly Do Right at 5.10a. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coeur d'Alene put July and August highs around 83°F with lows in the mid-50s and only about four wet days a month. Winter highs there stay in the mid-30s. The closest trail is Upper Fifth Canyon Trail, about half a mile away, and the John C. Pointner Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary Trail is roughly 6 miles off.
