Rabbit Rock - West is a climbing area in Idaho's City of Rocks National Reserve, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, including Rabbit Rock - Southwest and Rabbit Rock - Northeast, and the nearby South Fork Circle Creek Trail, all within about a tenth of a mile. The area offers both sport and trad routes, with six climbing lines ranging from 5.8 to 5.12a. Dressed to Kill and Dance to the Music are sport routes, and Midlife Crisis is a trad line at 5.12a. Coyote Corner, at 5.8, is the easiest among them. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rosette, Utah, run from highs around 85°F in August to about 74°F in September, while winter highs stay near 35°F. Independence Lakes Campground, about 10 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
