Pinocchio is a bouldering area within Massacre Rocks State Park in Idaho, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Parking Lot Boulders and The Bond Boulders both about 0.1 mile away and the Pohogwe Trail just as close. The climbing here is all bouldering, with eight routes spread across the V0 to V7-8 range. The easiest is Honest John at V0, and the hardest is Death Card (sit) at V7-8. The median grade is V2, so the area works for climbers of all levels. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 68°F and September highs around 77°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. Nearby, the River Trail and Canyon Trail are both within half a mile, and Rock Creek offers canoeing about 2 miles away. Pipeline Campground is roughly 6 miles off for an overnight stay.
