Massacre Rocks State Park is a state park in Idaho, managed by State Park and Recreation, and it is a bouldering destination with a cluster of climbing areas within its boundaries. The park's own name is the main unit, and the surrounding land is part of the same state park. The park's climbing is all bouldering, with 46 routes spread across the area. The grades run from V0 to V7, with the median at V3. Some of the named routes include Perkins' Slab AKA The Bearded Leslie at V0, Tsunami at V3, and Spinal Tap at V7. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 78°F to 77°F and lows in the mid-40s. July and August are hotter, with typical highs in the upper 80s. Several climbing areas and trails sit right next to the park. Parking Lot Boulders, Pinocchio and The Bond Boulders are all about 0.1 mile away, and the Pohogwe Trail is also close by. For an overnight stay, Pipeline Campground is about 6 miles away.
