Jet A Sector is a climbing area in Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, within the Lost River Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land, so the rules and access here fall under its jurisdiction. The most comfortable months for climbing are typically July and August, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs in the low 80s and lows around 50°F. That station sits well below the sector, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. June and September are also mild, with highs in the low 70s and mid 70s. Several other climbing areas sit just a short distance away, including Mothership Sector, Martini Sector and Solar Inversion Wall, each about a tenth of a mile off. For a hike, Climber's Path is about 0.3 miles away.
