Upper Blue View is a mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Challis Field Office in central Idaho. The ride is an out-and-back of about 1.5 miles, with a moderate climb of 208 feet from the starting point at around 6,659 feet to the high point at about 6,817 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, with a 14% grade at about 0.22 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stanley show July and August highs around 80°F with lows near 39°F and only five or six wet days a month. Winters there are cold, with January highs in the upper 20s. The route sits close to several other spots. Lower Blue View and the Upper Grand mountain biking trail are each about 0.1 miles away, and the Chukar hike is about half a mile off. For an overnight stay, Big Bayhorse Campground lies roughly 8.4 miles away.
