West Fork Iron Creek is an easy, 2.3-mile out-and-back hike in the Salmon-Cobalt Ranger District of Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 218 feet from a low point of 8,462 feet to a high of 8,825 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The climb is gentle, with the most gain coming in the first part of the trip. Goodluck Meadows lies just 0.3 miles away, and Thunder Mountain Historic is about 2.4 miles off. For an overnight stay, Iron Lake Campground is 4.3 miles away and McDonald Flat Campground is 7.7 miles away.
