Station Creek is a 4.3-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Emmett Ranger District. The trail rises from about 3,193 feet to 4,454 feet, a climb of 1,250 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trailhead is named Station Creek Trailhead. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. It works well for a day trip with an overnight base nearby. Hot Springs campground sits about half a mile away, and Hot Springs Group Campground is about a mile off. The Payette River: South Fork is roughly 1.2 miles away for anglers. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Garden Valley weather station, about 3.5 miles away, show July and August highs near 89°F with lows in the upper 40s, while winter brings highs in the low to mid 30s and regular snow days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The Garden Valley Trail is about 4.1 miles away, and the Payette River: Confluence is about 5 miles off.
