Rush Creek is a hard hike in Idaho's Payette National Forest, within the Weiser Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 4,084 feet to 7,281 feet, a total gain of 2,729 feet over a route of about 17.3 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes. The climb is long and steep, so plan for a full day on foot or on horseback. The route starts close to two other destinations: Buck Park Cabin, a campground about 0.1 mile away, and the E/F Pine Creek hike, also about 0.1 mile away. Nearby, Dukes Creek and Dukes Creek Rim are both within about 3 miles, and Cracker Jack Creek is about 3.1 miles away.
