Pulaski is an easy out-and-back hike on Forest Service land in northern Idaho, about a mile from the town of Wallace. The trail is roughly 3.4 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 980 feet from a low point of about 2,900 feet to a high of about 3,650 feet. The route is on natural surface, and the Forest Service trail records say it is not open to bikes or horses. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Wallace show July and August highs around 81°F with only five or seven wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 30s and regular snow days. Several other hikes sit within a few miles, including Striped Peak at about 2.9 miles and Lost Lake at about 3.1 miles. Paddlers can reach the South Fork Coeur d'Alene River about 4.8 miles away, and Shoshone Park Kitchen campground is about 9.6 miles off.
