Partridge Creek is a 9.2-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Payette National Forest, within the New Meadows Ranger District. The trail climbs from about 5,500 feet to 7,306 feet, a gain of 407 feet, and is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The route is natural-surface and allows horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Warren, Idaho, show July and August highs around 79°F with lows in the mid-30s. That station sits roughly 1,400 feet below the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler.
