More's Creek Summit is a hard out-and-back hike in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Idaho City Ranger District. The trail starts at the Mores Creek Summit Trailhead and climbs to a high point of 7,823 feet, with a total elevation gain of 2,754 feet over a round trip of about 9.7 miles. The climb is front-loaded, and the steepest stretch comes at about 2.6 miles in, where the grade reaches 22%. The route begins at roughly 6,187 feet and ends at about 6,106 feet, so the summit sits a few hundred feet above the trail's low point. Plan on about 4.5 hours for the trip. Summit Flat lies just 0.1 mile from the trailhead. Bad Bear Campground and Edna Creek Campground are both about 2.1 miles away, and North Lamar, a cross-country ski area, is about 2.5 miles off.
