Martin Mountain is a hard hike in Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, within the Middle Fork Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 8,560 feet to 9,366 feet, a total gain of 703 feet over roughly 14.8 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is natural-surfaced, with horses allowed but bikes not. The trip is open year-round, and the surrounding area offers several other hikes within a short drive. Rock Lake is about 0.4 miles away, and Cabin Creek and Sleeping Deer Lo are each about 0.7 miles off. Liberty Creek Ridge lies about 1.4 miles away.
