Jackson Creek is a hard out-and-back hike in Idaho's Priest Lake Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, about 11 miles long and rising from roughly 2,900 feet to about 5,500 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to horses, and it is not an accessible trail. The climb is steep, with a total elevation gain of about 2,465 feet, and the trip runs from mid-June through September. Plan on a full day on the trail, with plenty of time for the ascent and descent. The closest neighbors are Hughes Fork, about 1.6 miles away, and the South Jackson Mountain Trail, about 1.8 miles away. Gold Creek offers canoeing about 2.9 miles off, and the Navigation campground is about 7 miles away.
