Conrad Peak is a hard hike in Idaho's Idaho Panhandle National Forests, on the St. Joe Ranger District. The route is an out-and-back of about 6.3 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 3,110 feet, taking you from a low point of 3,328 feet to the summit at 6,436 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced and not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mullan Pass, which sits at a similar elevation, show July and August highs around 70°F with only about six wet days a month, while winter highs stay near 28°F. The peak's trailhead sits close to Conrad Crossing campground and the Mosquito Creek hike, both about 0.2 miles away. Whitetail Peak is 0.3 miles off, and Black Jack Peak is about 1.1 miles away.
