Bernard Peak is a moderate out-and-back hike in Idaho, about 6 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of about 2,000 feet. The trail starts at roughly 2,900 feet and climbs to about 5,000 feet at the summit. The land is managed by the State Department of Land. The trail is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible route. Squirrel Cache Loop is the closest nearby hike, under a mile away. Chilco Cutoff, Green Mountain and Independence Creek Nrt are all within about 8 miles.
