Cooper Creek Campground is a state-managed campground in north Georgia, set within the Blue Ridge Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests and the Coopers Creek Wildlife Management Area. The State Department of Natural Resources oversees the land, and the site sits about 9 miles from Blairsville, the nearest town. The campground is a base for exploring the surrounding forest and wildlife management area. A fee is charged for stays, so plan for that when you book. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Blairsville show October highs around 70°F with lows near 43°F, and May highs around 76°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the campground, so temperatures here run slightly cooler. Several trails start close by.
