Wright Lake Loop North is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Apalachicola Ranger District of the National Forests in Florida, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of about 21 feet, so it's a flat, low-effort walk that can be done in about half an hour. The route is natural-surface and not accessible. Bikes and horses are not allowed. The trail is open year-round, and the nearest town is Wewahitchka, about 15 miles away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Wewahitchka show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F with the most wet days of the year. Wright Lake and Wright Lake Campground are both about 0.2 miles away, and Hickory Landing Campground is about 1.2 miles off. Wiregrass-Genetian is a hike about 4.3 miles away.
