Gf&a is a 4.8-mile out-and-back hike on the National Forests in Florida, within the Wakulla Ranger District. The trail is paved, accessible and rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of 41 feet. It is managed by the Forest Service, and bikes are allowed. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at 0.76 miles in a 6% grade. The route starts at about 40 feet and reaches 96 feet at its high point. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs in the mid-80s in April and October, while July and August bring highs around 93°F and about 16 wet days a month. The trail stays open year-round. The Equestrian Trail - Trout Pond lies just 0.4 miles away, and the Apalachicola National Forest Trail and ANF Trail 13 (Springhill Trail) are both about 2.2 miles off. Broken Glass Bridge, a climbing area, is roughly 7.6 miles away.
