Wiregrass-Genetian is an easy loop hike in the Apalachicola Ranger District of the National Forests in Florida, about 0.9 miles long. The trail is flat, with a high point of 18 feet and a low of 12 feet. A short stretch at 0.14 miles in reaches a 7% grade, the steepest part of the route. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 81°F, while July and August average highs near 90°F and bring the most wet days of the year. The trail is on natural surface and is not accessible. Bikes and horses are not allowed. Hickory Landing Campground sits about 3.3 miles away, and Wright Lake Campground is about 4.1 miles off. Wright Lake is a hike about 4.2 miles away, and paddlers can find the East River about 6.2 miles from the trail.
