The Kolokee Trail Loop is an easy, flat hike in Little Big Econ State Forest in Florida, about 1.66 miles long with no elevation gain. The trail runs from a low point of 12 feet to a high of 23 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 1.1 miles, where the grade reaches 2 percent. The route works well as a short outing, and the trail is not suited to bikes or horses. Winter and early spring are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 71°F in January to about 78°F in March, with wet days around 8 each month. Summer brings highs in the low 90s and rain on roughly half the days. Nearby, the Little Econlockhatchee River offers canoeing about 7.5 miles away, and the Bertha - Cross Seminole Trail climbing area is about 7.8 miles off.
