West Boundary Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about half a mile long and roughly 0.6 miles from the town of Woodbridge. It's a point-to-point route, so you don't need to retrace your steps, and the climb is gentle, with a total gain of about 59 feet and a steepest stretch of about 7% at around 0.3 miles in. Bikes are allowed, so the trail works for both walking and riding. The route starts at about 332 feet and reaches a high point of about 353 feet, with a small loss of about 27 feet along the way. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ansonia show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 75°F, with July and August warming to about 82°F. Several other trails sit close by. Meadow Trail is about 0.1 mile away, East Boundary Trail about 0.2 mile, and North Boundary Trail about 0.4 mile. Climbers can find the Pay It No Mind Cluster about 2.1 miles off.
