Turkington Falls Loop is a short, easy hike in Connecticut's Devil's Den/Saugatuck Forest, a forest managed by a non-governmental organization. The route is a point-to-point walk of about a mile, with a low point of 467 feet and a high of 556 feet. The climb is gentle, with a total gain of 83 feet and a steepest stretch of about 6% at roughly 0.18 miles in. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 74°F, while July peaks near 82°F. The hike takes about half an hour. The Reeve Biggers Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Dan Beard Trail and Old Field are within half a mile. Climbers can find the Slugs & Crickets Block about 2 miles off.
