Reeve Biggers Trail is an easy, short hike in Connecticut, about a mile long, that starts and ends near the town of Redding. The route runs from roughly 500 feet to about 567 feet, so it's a low-elevation outing, and it makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the area's network of trails. The climb is gentle. The steepest part comes at about 0.6 miles, where the grade reaches 13 percent, but the trail overall stays an easy walk. It works well as a quick stop, and the time to allow is about half a day. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 74°F, while July highs reach about 82°F. Turkington Falls Loop lies just 0.1 mile away, and Dan Beard Trail is about 0.2 mile off. Within a few tenths of a mile are Old Field and the Slugs & Crickets Block climbing area, about 2 miles away.
