Talcott Mt Bypass Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.6 miles from the town of Case Corner. The route is a point-to-point trail of roughly 1.3 miles, with a total elevation gain of 123 feet and a total loss of 288 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.58 miles in, where the grade reaches 23 percent. The trail starts at an elevation of 474 feet and reaches a high point of 603 feet before descending. It is not a loop, so plan on a one-way trip. Bikes are not allowed on this route. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Burlington, CT, show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. The White Trail and the Auer Farm Connector Trail both lie about 0.8 miles away. Weha Duro, a mountain biking spot, is about 1.9 miles off, and the Green Trail is about 2.1 miles away.
