Carriage Path is an easy 2.8-mile hike on city-managed open space in Connecticut, with a total elevation gain of 487 feet. It is a point-to-point route, and it ends with a net loss of 700 feet, so plan for a return the same way or pair it with another trail. The climb is rolling rather than steep, with the steepest section coming at about 2.5 miles in at a 19% grade. The high point is 735 feet, and the low point is 394 feet.
