The Banton Quinnipiac Trail is a 2.7-mile point-to-point hike in Connecticut, about 0.6 miles from North Haven Bridge. It is an easy route with no elevation gain, so it stays level from start to finish. The trail is short and flat, and its gentle pace makes it an easy fit for a casual outing close to town. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable months to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Carmel put September highs around 76°F with lows near 55°F, while July averages reach about 85°F. Winter is much colder, with January highs near 38°F. Several other outings lie within a few miles. The Dickerman Carriage Road, the Nature Trail and the Tower Trail are each about 2.2 miles away, and the Judge Cook's Oxen Trail is about 2.5 miles off.
