Ute Camp is a cross-country ski route in Colorado, about 2.8 miles from the town of Maryvale. The route is short, covering 0.25 miles with a total elevation gain of 26 feet, and it is rated moderate. The climb is brief, with the steepest stretch at about 0.05 miles in, where the grade reaches 7 percent. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station, at a similar elevation, show January highs around 31°F with lows near -1°F, while June brings highs around 72°F. The station sits about 120 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the trail run slightly cooler. Hartshorn and Sawmill Loop are both cross-country ski routes within a quarter mile. For paddling, Ranch Creek is about 1.2 miles away and the Fraser River about 3 miles. Idlewild Campground, roughly 4.5 miles off, offers camping.
