Loppet is a short, easy cross-country ski route on Snow Mountain Ranch in Colorado, a non-governmental organization-managed property. The trail is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of just 22 feet, so it's a gentle outing that pairs easily with other routes in the area. Winter is the natural season for this ski route. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station show January highs around 31°F with lows near -1°F, while June brings highs in the low 70s. The station sits at a similar elevation to the trail, so temperatures here run about the same. Loppet's Trail lies just 0.1 mile away, and Slim Jim is about 0.2 mile off. Climbers can head to the Grand County / Fraser Valley area, roughly 1.8 miles away, and St. Louis Creek Campground is about 6.2 miles away for an overnight stay.
