West Ridge - part B - Long John to Verschneidung is a climbing area in Eldorado Canyon State Park in Colorado, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. The route is part of the West Ridge section of the park, and the nearby West Ridge Climbing Access Trail, Fowler West Trail, Hawk-Eagle Ridge and West Ridge - part F - The Potato Chip all sit within about a tenth of a mile, so this part of the ridge links easily with several other climbing and hiking destinations. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 69°F in May and 76°F in September, with July peaking near 87°F. Winiger Ridge campground is about 4.6 miles away, and Sourdough Springs Campground is about 6.7 miles off.
