Third Flatiron is a climbing area on city land in the Bergheim - Wood area of Colorado, about 1.4 miles from Boulder. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, so it works well as one stop in a day of bouldering and climbing in the Boulder area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Boulder show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July averages climb to about 88°F and winter lows drop to about 21°F. Several climbing areas lie right next door, including Ghetto, The, El Primero Boulder and Upper Satellite Boulders, each about 0.1 mile away. Kohler Mesa Trail is about 0.3 mile off for a hike.
