Sunnyvale is a climbing area in the Cache La Poudre Wilderness, within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits inside designated wilderness. The climbing here is all sport, with nine routes spread across a range from 5.9 to 5.12a. The most notable are Hash Driveway at 5.10a and Mustard Tiger at 5.12a, both of which were first ascended by Beavers and Peavey. The Nod (formerly submitted as The Fable) lies just 0.1 mile away, and Twilight Wall is the same distance off. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 72°F in June to about 79°F in July, with lows in the mid-50s. That station sits roughly 670 feet below the area, so temperatures at the crag run a little cooler. Lower Narrows Campground and the Cache la Poudre River are both about 0.8 mile away, and the Sheep Mountain Trail is about 0.9 mile off. Paddlers can reach the South Fork Cache la Poudre River about 7 miles away.
