The Pit Boulder is a climbing area in the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Robert's Ridge and Spaceship Earth both about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Monument run to highs around 84°F in July and lows near 53°F, while winter highs sit in the low 40s with lows around 14°F. Eagle's Peak Trail is about 0.3 mile away, Falcon Trail about 1.3 miles, and Monument Creek offers canoeing about 2.1 miles off. For an overnight stay, Tent City campground is about 3.2 miles away.
