Main Boulder is a climbing area in the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of named boulders, with Highball Boulder and Skull Crusher Boulder each about 0.1 mile away, so the area works well as a destination for a single climb or a short loop between boulders. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Monument, Colorado weather station show September highs around 72°F with lows near 43°F, while May runs a bit cooler at about 68°F by day. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock itself run a little cooler. Within about a mile are the I-A Fitness hike and the Raspberry Mountain Trail. Tent City campground lies about 4.3 miles away, and Monument Creek, roughly 5.8 miles off, offers paddling.
