Pike's Peak is a climbing area in Colorado's Pike and San Isabel National Forests, within the Pikes Peak Ranger District. The land is managed by the Forest Service. Other recreation sits close by. Pikes Peak West Summit, a mountain biking spot, is less than half a mile away, and Bottomless Pit is about a mile out. For an overnight base, Crags Campground lies roughly 5 miles away. Climbers looking for more rock can head to Caveman Wall, about 7.5 miles from Pike's Peak.
