West Face is a climbing area in Garden of the Gods Park, on city land managed by the city. No nearest town is named here beyond the park itself, so the park is the anchor for finding it. For timing, typical averages from a nearby weather station put September highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, while June runs about 76°F by day and 50°F at night. Midsummer highs climb to about 81°F in July, and winter highs sit in the low 40s. The closest neighbors are Kindergarten Rock and East Face, each about 0.1 mile away, so it's easy to string together a day at several crags. Ute Trail and Central Garden Trail are both about 0.2 mile off for walking between climbs. For an overnight base, Garden of the Gods RV Resort is about 1.2 miles away.
