Painted Wall is a climbing area in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, within the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Wilderness in Colorado. The National Park Service manages the land, and the area sits about 1.9 miles from a nearby weather station at 8,151 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from that station run to highs around 82°F in July with lows near 53°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. The North Rim Routes and Prisoner of Your Hairdo Gully climbing areas are each about 0.1 mile away. Rock Point Overlook and North Vista Trail are both about half a mile off. North Rim Campground is about 0.6 mile away.
