Mt. Zirkel Wilderness is a climbing area in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits within the national forest's wilderness boundary, and the surrounding land is part of the Forest Service's network of protected backcountry. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Walden weather station show July highs around 76°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Seedhouse Campground and Seedhouse Guard Station are both under a mile away, and Diamond Park Trail is about 0.7 miles off. Climbers can also find Birthday Boulder roughly a mile away.
