Hideaway Dome is a climbing area in the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, which makes it easy to pair with other objectives in the same corner of the forest. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Boulder weather station run around 71°F highs in May and 79°F in September. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the dome, so temperatures at the crag may run slightly cooler. The closest neighbors are the Spire, Pantheon and Trojan Bunny Buttress climbing areas, all about 0.1 mile away, and the Coffintop hike. For a longer outing, the Button Rock Trail is about 2 miles off.
