The Dome is a climbing area in Colorado's Cathedral Spires Park, on county land. The facts here don't name a nearest town, so the park itself is the best way to place it. The most comfortable stretch for climbing runs from June through September. Typical averages from the nearby Bailey weather station show highs in the mid-70s °F in June and around 71°F in September. July and August are slightly warmer but bring the most wet days, about 12 to 13 a month. Winters are cold, with typical January highs in the upper 30s and lows near 9°F. Other climbing sits close by. The Bishop and Aircraft Carrier Boulder are each about 0.2 miles away. For hiking, Sunshine Trail is roughly 0.6 miles off. Buffalo Campground, about 6.3 miles away, is the nearest place to camp.
